What difficulties could you potentially face with your operating system?

There is nothing more frustrating than an unexpected operating system error. But, fear not; the team at Intech Assist has collected the answers to some of the most common operating system issues faced by users.

We have tried to mention some of the problems faced by users and how they can be resolved:

  • The computer displays a blue/black screen of death (BSOD): BSOD is always an unpleasant sight. They appear when Windows encounters a problem from which it can't recover. It could be caused because a driver is not compatible with your hardware, or RAM/motherboard is failing, or it could be due to corrupted files in the current installation or damaged installation media.

  • To fix these errors, you may try several things, including but not limited to installing incompatible apps, troubleshooting BSODs, disconnecting non-essential peripherals, and reinstalling the operating system. And you can always Contact our team for the best support anytime.

  • A system file is corrupted: Sometimes, when starting your PC, you may get this error. It usually occurs because your computer wasn't able to shut down properly.

  • You may try to repair your computer from the advanced startup options menu to fix this issue. Alternatively, you could boot your computer in Safe Mode and run SFC/scan now.

  • The GUI is missing for all users, or GUI fails to load: It usually occurs when startup files are missing for Windows or Windows updates have corrupted the operating system.

  • It can be resolved by repairing your computer from the advanced startup options menu, running Windows Startup Repair, or by reinstalling the operating system.

  • The computer continually restarts without displaying the desktop: It happens when the computer is set to restart when there is a failure or a startup file has become corrupted. T

  • o resolve this, press F8 to open the Advanced Options Menu and choose Disable, automatic restart on system failure. Or Run chkdsk /F/R from the recovery console.

  • "No boot device," "boot device not found," or "boot device not found, please install an operating system": This occurs when the operating system is unable to locate a storage device containing the boot files and disks required to boot the machine, IDE/SATA cable has malfunctioned, master boot record is damaged etcetera. • Depending on the cause of the error, you may or may not be able to resolve this issue on your own. If the problem is with the hard disk, you may try to replace it, or you can try using an external boot device. If you are unsure about the cause, you should take help from a tech support provider.

These were some of the issues faced by users, and there are a lot of problems that haven't been mentioned here. You may or may not face these particular issues with your computer, but if you do, you know who to call: Intech Assist.
